At Computype, we pride ourselves on being more than just a company dedicated to identification and tracking solutions. We believe in the power of community and the responsibility to support the places we live and work. This year, we were thrilled to live that commitment by partnering with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (TCHFH) as a Gold Sponsor for the 38th annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
From September 30th to October 4th, Computype joined forces with over 4,000 volunteers from across the nation, working together to build more than 30 homes in The Heights community in St. Paul, Minnesota. For Computype, the project added a personal mission, especially for team members like John Yarusso who grew up in the area. John stated, “This is an area I grew up in, and I’m really excited to be here all five days, helping to build homes for those in need. It’s a wonderful place to be.”
Another team member, Jon Harden, echoed John’s enthusiasm. “We need all hands-on deck for this volunteer opportunity,” Jon said. “It is a great opportunity to be a part of something special in the community.”
Why the Carter Work Project?
As a family-owned company with nearly 50 years providing innovative identification and tracking solutions, Computype is dedicated to creating positive change in the communities we serve. One of Computype’s owners, Todd Roach, has long been a dedicated supporter of TCHFH. His enthusiasm for the organization is shared throughout our team, inspiring many of us to participate in this year’s project.
The Carter Work Project, led by Habitat Humanitarians Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, also joined by Jonathan Scott of the reality show “PropertyBrothers,” marks a significant milestone in helping local families achieve the dream of homeownership. Computype is proud to support such a powerful initiative and look forward to the long-term impact it will bring to our community.
This project has a legacy of mobilizing volunteers, raising awareness, and creating lasting change. The Computype team was inspired by the opportunity to not only support this cause financially but also to contribute time and energy on the construction site. Seeing the direct impact of the work was incredibly rewarding.
Building Together for a Better Future
Computype volunteers joined others in bringing more than just bricks and mortar to these homes – they brought a sense of belonging and pride. This experience was a reminder that, just as a home provides security and hope, teamwork and dedication can create a lasting impact.
