Supplier Code of Conduct.

Computype is devoted to conducting business in an ethical manner that is permissible by law. Computype engages in work with global suppliers who operate with similar principles to Computype’s Code of Conduct. Suppliers and subcontractors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country in which they operate. Computype requires its representatives and suppliers to adhere to their current and ongoing commitments concerning environmental and social governance. Computype retains the right to adapt the code of conduct requirements due to compliance initiatives and changes in law. In the event of changes Computype presumes its suppliers will accept modifications.

The Computype Supplier Code of Conduct emphasizes the following standards to ensure compliance and alignment with Computype’s sustainability goals, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Environmental Standards

Computype identifies that environmental responsibility plays a vital role in producing globally consumable products. In conjunction with complying with applicable environmental laws Computype continues to strengthen efforts in but not limited to, reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, water usage, air pollution, material waste, chemical usage, and reducing the environmental impact from product use and disposal. Continuous improvement efforts have been made at Computype to encompass Scope 1-3 emissions placing emphasis on making positive impacts in GHG emissions and renewable energy usage.

Ethics Standards

Computype understands that to achieve success in the marketplace that full compliance with all applicable business ethic laws is necessary internally and with suppliers, customers, and communities. This is to ensure that social responsibilities are met Computype asks that suppliers operate with the highest business integrity standards by complying with laws and regulations of their respective countries.

Health and Safety Standards

Computype fosters a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment, by creating an open and trusting culture with in which all employees can unite to learn from and mitigate potential future work-related injuries, illness, and death. Computype abides by all applicable health laws, industry standards, regulations and safety practices that promote preventing workplace injuries and illnesses, improve compliance with laws and regulations, reduce costs associated with workers’ compensation premiums. This also helps to engage with workers causing an increase in productivity which amplifies efficiencies. Suppliers should always operate in ways that minimize the risk of injury to employees, adopt safe and healthy work practices, and continuously update policies and practices to lessen the risk of any future incident.

Labor and Human Rights Standards

Computype takes great pride in putting the team first and helping each other to achieve goals and solve customer problems. Computype has placed emphasis on the protection of human throughout the entire supply chain ensuring that all individuals are equally respected, protected and valued throughout the entire value chain. This includes but is not limited to the abolishment of child labor and forced labor, inhumane treatment, human trafficking, unsafe working conditions, as well as harassment and discrimination. Suppliers should abide by local laws and regulations as well as proactively address, mitigate, and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate parties. Strategic measures should be in place and constantly updated to prevent reprehensible acts from occurring.

Sustainable Procurement Standards

Computype is committed to the responsible sourcing of minerals, and has enacted strategic due diligence measures for traceability, and reporting of all conflict materials in the supply chain. Computype is in full support of ending violence, human rights violations, and negative environmental impacts in countries where conflict materials are sourced. Computype complies with all applicable laws, regulations and reporting requirements surrounding conflict minerals. Suppliers should avoid the purchase of minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups or perpetrators of human rights abuses. Suppliers should enact processes and due diligence frameworks to ensure conflict free supply chains and must meet conflict reporting requirements as required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
